Most people in town are honest, but scammers do exist. A few simple habits go a long way.
Never transfer money before you see the item. No exceptions, whatever reason the other person gives.
Before you agree
- Chat in the app so there is a record of the conversation
- Check the seller's stars and feedback from past sales
- Ask for more photos or a video call if you're unsure
- An unusually low price is often a warning sign
When you meet
- Meet in a busy public place during the day
- Bring a friend or family member
- Check the item fully before paying
- For large items picked up at home, tell someone at home first
Places to stay
- Guesthouses in the app take payment in person at check-in only
- If anyone asks for a deposit in advance, report it right away
Signs of a scam
- Pushing you to transfer money, or claiming someone else is about to buy
- Asking to move the chat outside the app from the start
- Asking for OTP codes or bank account details
- Sending strange links to click
If something feels wrong, report it or tap "Contact the team" in the app. Every report is reviewed within 24 hours. If you have been scammed, report it to the police as soon as possible and keep the chat as evidence.
